It started suddenly.. [Life with Old Cats : vol.1]

Currently, I am working remotely and taking care of four old cats. At first, I couldn't help it, but even though I was struggling to take care of a pet I wasn't used to, I found myself getting addicted to it.

First of all, I would like to introduce how this life started and my beloved cats.

I had no interest in pets, let alone cats..

It all started over 15 years ago when my father, who lived nearby, adopted stray cats that were living under the eaves of his house. At first there was only one pet, but the number increased to two, then three, until I had seven at the most.

My father placed cages one after another on the balcony in his garden for cats, and the neighborhood called it the "cat house." I wish I had taken good care of her, but as she got older, she became sloppy. The cat hair was flying, the smell of food and feces was flying, and the crows were attracted to it, causing a huge nuisance to the neighborhood.

However, last year, my father was hospitalized due to injury and illness, and I couldn't leave the cats alone, so I had no choice but to move into my parents' home and start caring for them. There were 5 cats at that time.

Anyway, I have to do something about disturbing the neighborhood..

I started taking care of the cats by watching and imitating them, but the situation was not good if they remained in the "cat house'', so I first bought a new mobile cage and moved the cats indoors. We also completely removed the "cat house'' from the balcony, resolving the situation that caused a nuisance to the neighbors.

And so my “new” life with the cats began

My parents had an empty separate room, so I moved the cats' cages there and was able to take care of them in a comfortable "cat room". I don't know the exact ages of the cats, but I'm sure they're around 13 to 15 years old, so I think this is some kind of connection, and I want to see them through to the end.

Introduction of beloved cats

Kana-chan

Kana-chan is a female, estimated to be 13 years old. She has a clear personality of happiness, anger, sadness, and in that sense, it is very easy to understand. When I think she's going to start licking my hand, he might suddenly bite and run away.

Nana-chan

Nana-chan is a female, estimated to be 13 years old. She is distrustful of humans and has a wary personality, not making her the least friendly of all cats. I thought her would be nice because it has long hair and a cute cry, but she bit my finger really hard and seriously injured me.

Kuro-chan

Kuro-chan is a female, estimated to be 15 years old. Contrary to her appearance, she is the most affectionate of all the cats. So honestly, this cat is the cutest. However, since she has black hair, her gray hair is noticeable, and I sometimes see her falling off the step stool of the cage, so I'm a little worried about her age.

Mie-chan

Mie-chan is a female, estimated to be 15 years old. She is probably the oldest of the cats, and its fur is so tattered that she can no longer be scratched with her hind legs. However, she has a good appetite, so I think she's still okay, but I'm keeping an eye on her to see if there are any changes in her condition.

To shoot the cats, I use the "SP camera" that allows you to view and save live image using two Android smartphones. (This is a P2P app developed by us and provided free of charge)
